Truth and Lies

Architecture, Competitions, Design 2006

The theme Truth and Lies evokes the question of creating a relative connection betweeen what is concrete and what is not.  The pavilions’ spacial qualities explore the relative connection between Truth and Lies, both from interior/exterior parameters and from the intersection of artwork/observer.  Just as relative truth connects people with context, the relative transparency of the pavilion connects observer and artwork from inside and outside.  This transparency unveils just enough of the interior to limit the observer’s full range of vision without eliminating it.  The interior panels within the frames serve as the visual limitation and housing for mixed media artwork.
